Education
One of the aims of CTH is to promote Transimperial History (TIH) through education. Its educational activities include the following:
1. Courses: Transimperial Trajectories by Professor Satoshi Mizutani
Professor Mizutani, Co-Director of CTH, teaches a lecture course on transimperial history drawing on his forthcoming monograph, Transimperial Trajectories: Colonialism and Anticolonialism across the British and Japanese Empire (Oxford: Oxford University Press, under advanced contract).
2. TIH Reading Group
CTH regularly holds a seminar session where students discuss in English a paper or a monograph relevant to TIH research. For the full list of papers and books discussed, click the button below.
3. CTH Newsletter
Through contributing articles to CTH Newsletter, students can learn academic writing and experience academic publishing.
4. Research Showcase Series
The Research Showcase Series provides students with a platform to present their research and discuss unpublished work, including thesis projects.
